The Nest
Self Catering Cottage The Nest is a one bedroom loft apartment in the ancient stone Kingfisher Barn. It is well equipped with all you need for a great getaway or romantic weekend.
Things You'll Love About Our Self Catering Cottage The Nest
The Kingfisher Barn 'Nest' is quaint and quirky all in one. It has wonderful views of the sunset over the local town of Abingdon. You can enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine sitting out in the patio area in the Nest's private garden. It is a very light and sunny apartment with a huge window in the sitting room area, and it takes up the whole gable end of the barn. There are many beams and historic features, but the decoration and furniture are modern. The facilities we provide are always 4 Star.
More Details
The Nest is one of our more popular self catering units. It's quirky, and just that little bit different, with classic charm and uniqueness; and a real favourite for guests and staff alike. With a high ceiling, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area you tend to feel that you're hidden away, but have lots of space and the best view of all. The Nest has a sofa bed which is available for occasional use.
Things You Need To Know Regarding Our Self Catering Cottage The Nest
Our striking 'Nest' has stairs leading up to the first-floor accommodation and so is not suitable for elderly or disabled guests.
Also, it may not be suitable for toddlers, although we can place a stair gate at the top of the main stairs. There are also stairs inside the apartment leading to the bathroom and bedroom.
Other Information
With all Kingfisher Barn self catering cottages, you have private use of the heated indoor pool one hour a day. You can reserve the times in advance (when you book the accommodation is ideal), and it works on a first come, first-served basis. It's a great way to start or end a day; swimming can be so relaxing, not to mention the health benefits!

Testimonial Left For our Self Catering Cottage The Nest
'This accommodation was beautiful. The Nest was in the upper part of the converted barn. Full of long oak and arched beams in the ceiling loft. The view from the window over the fields was stunning. Catering equipment was plentiful for people using facilities. Mr & Mrs Brown from Northamptonshire
